Standard cards (apart from Visa Premier and Gold MasterCard) don’t offer sufficient protection and very rarely cover cancellation, medical treatment abroad or lost luggage. In any case, they don't offer specialist travel insurance.

‘I’m going to chill in the Bahamas, surely I’ll manage to avoid getting hit on the head by a coconut’.

Unfortunately, accidents happen faster than you think. Some might argue that coconuts annually make more victims than sharks. Let’s say you’re hit by a coconut. It’s very likely that you’re in a tropical, far-away country, which means that it might be difficult and stressful to get adequate help. This is where the travel insurance comes in handy – it will allow you either to receive treatment equivalent to what we have in Europe, or to be repatriated. So getting an insurance might not be so coconuts after all! ;)

1. NO EXPLANATION, NO PROOF CANCELLATION insurance policy (MisterFly exclusive!)

This insurance includes: 

●      Cancellation with no explanation or proof required up to the day before departure, and a refund within 72 business hours.

Info: At the time of cancellation, you have 2 options:

●      If you choose the "no explanation, no proof" option: Your request will be approved immediately and you’ll be refunded within 72 business hours (after deduction of a 30% excess).

●      If you choose to provide an explanation for the cancellation along with supporting documents: Your request will be approved and you’ll be refunded after deduction of a 20% excess for any justified explanation, and a 10% excess in case of death or illness.

IMPORTANT: If you choose the 2nd option, and your request is refused because your explanation for cancelling is not covered or your supporting documents are not valid, you can just change to option 1 which guarantees immediate approval of your request for a refund. Cool, huh?

2. ASSISTANCE, REPATRIATION, LUGGAGE and DELAYED FLIGHT insurance policy

This insurance includes:

●      Medical expenses abroad up to €50,000

●      Hospitalisation and repatriation to your home

●      Damaged, lost or stolen luggage up to €1,000
